Dear client,
Please notice we are in the process of increasing our Ddos mitigation capacity in our MIA1 cluster,
for this reason we have decided to add new peering partner with DosArrest Cloud Services in order to diversify
our peering scheme. DosArrest will announce our traffic via GTT and TATA providing a diverse connectivity scheme.
The peering with DosArrest will help us offload in a better way attacks that might surpass our inline Ddos
mitigation capacity via our Riorey mitigation cluster, in such scenarios Racknation automatically offloads
big attacks ( > 70Gbps ) to our cloud partners Voxility and now DosArrest in order to control the big attacks
bursts hence increasing our installed capacity of 130Gbps combining all our Riorey appliances.

For the new peering we are forced to upgrade our main Juniper MX480 Router in Miami to a newer JunOS version.
Based on this we have scheduled a disruptive maintenance in our Miami Cluster with the following dates:

- Maintenance starting time: Monday December the 7th starting at 11p.m GMT-6
- Maintenance ending time: Tuesday December the 8th at 4:30a.m GMT-6

The upgrade is disruptive in nature since we will need to completely restart our router line cards after the
image upgrade and then restart peering with our providers.

The following services will be fully affected:

- Clients using protected GRE tunnels against Miami using Racknation ipv4 addressing
- Clients using protected GRE tunnels to announce their ipv4 space against our AS264763 in Miami

All other Racknation service will NOT be affected since we will move our usual transit via alternate providers,
DDos protection services in CR1 and CR2 will remain effective using CR1 and CR2 inline mitigation clusters plus
alternate direct peering to cloud ddos partners in Costa Rica.

Although our total estimate time of downtime is 1 hour and 30 minutes, we have defined a bigger maintenance window
in case we are forced to rollback the upgrade or in case or any unexpected situation.

This maintenance will be announced via email, our status platform and all the usual communication channels,
for any questions or doubts please feel free to email support@racknation.cr
